The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) has announced that it will provide $47,700 in funding spread over three years to the Sky Scan Science Awareness Project. The announcement came in a letter addressed to the Project Co-ordinator, Dr Doug Hube of the Department of Physics at the University of Alberta.

The grant is administered through the PromoScience fund of NSERC. The objective of the fund is to encourage organizations working with young Canadians to promote an interest in science and engineering.
